Another way to learn a language is through the literature the Language possesses. Here is a Grade 1 poem ‘Ghampani’ (घामपानी) which means Sun and Rain.
Original:

Translation:
Sun, rain and the bright rainbow
Come my friends, Lets play together
There is rain in one place and sun in the other
We must love everyone, our mother tells us
The Rainbow has met, see the seven colours
Read and write, play a game, make peace with everyone
The clouds have parted, how fun, the sun has started to shine
